Welcome to the Andy Stanley Leadership Podcast. A conversation designed to help leaders

0:09.8

go further faster. On today's podcast, we'll talk about a question that every leader should

0:15.0

ask. Andy, one of the ideas that we often discuss on the podcast is it's just the power

0:19.5

of a good question. Today we're going to unpack a great one, but before we get to that,

0:24.4

give our listeners an idea of why questions are so valuable. Those of us who've been around

0:28.1

leaders, we admire, pick up pretty quickly that great leaders ask questions. In fact, great

0:32.8

leaders ask great questions. There have been two or three occasions where I've been with

1:15.4

1:20.0

reveal values, questions, reinforce values. And ultimately, questions reinforce behavior.

1:27.0

So let me unpack each one of those for just a second. So when I say that questions reveal

1:31.2

our values, when you think about the questions that you ask over and over and over, essentially

1:35.0

what you're saying is this is what's important. This is what's important. This is what's

1:38.5

important. For example, if we tell our kids, you know, you really should do your best.

1:43.1

Do your best. Do your best. But we always ask, what did you make? What did you make? What
