A few weeks ago, I was looking at foreign policy website and I saw that our friend Stephen

Walt had undertaken an argument with our friend Ian Brammer over whether technology companies

might someday supersede states.

Ian Brammer had shortly before that had an article in Foreign Affairs in which he sketched

out several scenarios about the relative power that a technology companies and states may

enjoy in the future.

And I thought, this is really interesting.

And then I thought, I'm a nerd for finding this interesting.

And then I thought, well, our audience is all nerds.

And we need a kind of a nerd fest, you know, we need a kind of a debate over this kind

of thing.

And people would be bound to enjoy it if Stephen Ian would engage, frame their articles

and then sort of go back and forth.

I'm going to sort of remain in the background here for those of you who are interested in

my views on this.
