The U.S. has just lost to Sweden 3-0 that's not a misprint today to start the Olympic Soccer

tournament.

Christine, it is now 6.50 a.m. in New York City.

How are you doing after that result?

I am confounded, I am upset, I am Leslie B. We're offended, it's been a rough go.

This was not what I first saw ever happening in this universe this morning, so.

Well let's talk about it and we'll get to some mailbag questions from people on Twitter.

There's a lot of bewildered slash angry folks out there right now, and let's put some

things in perspective about how surprising this was.

Coming into this game, the U.S. had an unbeaten streak lasting 2.5 years, 44 games, and

Vladko Anastaskiy, the coach, had not lost a game since taking over.

He'd gone 23 games with 22 wins in a draw against Sweden, that draw by the way.

In Vladko had a 79-4 goal difference in his 10 years, the U.S. women's national team coach.

Then he gets to a major tournament and they lose 3-0 in the first game.

All is not lost, obviously it's a group stage and the U.S. can even finish second or third

in the group and still advance, but just a horrible, horrible start.

From a soccer perspective, as you were watching this game, what would you see?

I don't know if we thought it was like a big JK, just kidding, we're not really playing
