Summary

Do you celebrate National Beer Day on April 7th every year? Did you even know that the U.S. has a National Beer Day? We do! And it’s all thanks to our 32nd president, Franklin D. Roosevelt and his signing of the Cullen-Harrison Act. Celebrated across the country in 1933, the act was just one small step on the path to the ratification of the 21st Amendment and the final nail in the coffin for Prohibition.

0:23.9	She's staring off into the distance with a slight smile on her face.
0:28.5	She wears a trendy, short hairstyle and three long strands of pearls around her neck.
0:34.6	She looks comfortable and confident.
0:37.5	She exudes an air of wealth and sophistication.
0:42.5	And the nation, suffering from inside the seemingly bottomless pit of the Great Depression,

0:51.1	After all, she was fighting for the very thing their president wouldn't give them.
0:56.2	The one thing they wanted more than anything else, the repeal of Prohibition.

1:23.4	And when the stock market crashed, it caused your bank to fail and shut its doors, your

1:30.5	Gone!
1:31.5	Finished!
1:32.5	And an instant.
