fell into a really bad drug addiction. What drugs were you using? It started off with smoking weed, and then the next thing I did was cocaine, ecstasy, and before you know it, I was doing Xanax and heroin every day. These two huge dudes come in, they come to escort me to this wilderness program. It was very intense, nine weeks, no tent, water out of a creek. It was one of the best experiences in my life. Fast forward, I was not ready to change. Within a matter of a year, I got arrested five times. So when I came across your interview and I watched it with Ed, I just all of a sudden felt like I knew all this stuff and it just had to come to the surface and make me realize it. I knew what to do. You have the ability to change your situation. You are not

fixed to this situation that you are in.

about the rough situation you were in just so the audience has context and then we'll get into a little bit about how you turned it around absolutely so

I grew up in a suburb about 45 minutes north of Chicago named Vernon Hills and middle class area

nice area one of the best high schools in the country and I had a great upbringing I would say like the biggest

diversity I went through when I was super young was like I don't know my parents fighting or

something I you know I always had meat food on the table like nothing like that and later on when

I was about to go into high school, summer after eighth grade, I joined

like a summer school going into high school and made friends with different groups of friends
