0:38.6

of our core beliefs arise from fear and the way they turn us against ourselves and the way they

0:45.8

separate us from others. And I chose it from the archives before this Saturday's assassination attempt on Donald

0:57.5

Trump and as happens the the inner work explored in this talk it's deeply relevant to how we hold and

2:42.4

So if you take a moment and try to get inside the mind of someone who'd

2:47.8

want to kill a political figure or someone who'd be using violence against others to gain control, political power, what does that person have to believe?

2:59.0

Well, they have to believe that the other is a danger or a threat to what they want.

3:07.0

And they have to believe that the other is less than human, that they're in some way bad, that their life isn't so valuable,

3:15.5

so then they can go ahead and get rid of them and get the desired change.

3:21.5

The point is that in order for us to violate another or to feel it's okay to violate others,
