You know, every few months, I feel the need to reintroduce our listeners to what we mean by the word aggressive.

It's a word that's frequently misunderstood in our culture.

We think it means physically domineering somebody

or just being a bully. Now, it doesn't mean that. It means I actually take control of my life

instead of hoping something accidentally makes my life a little better. That's what we're trying

to encourage you with on this show and just give you a bunch of different

examples and insights to help you live the life that God has given you. So today we're going to

meet a man who has done just that. He's taken advantage of his life and taking advantage of

opportunities. It's pretty impressive. Steve Hightower is the president CEO of

High Towers Petroleum, an incredibly successful Ohio-based diesel and gasoline supplier,

meeting energy needs all over the country for juggernauts like GM, Delta, FedEx, Kroger,

and AT&T. Under Steve's leadership, High Towers Petroleum was named GM Supplier of the Year in 2019.

It's listed among Inc.'s 5,000 most successful companies and landed a spot in the top 10 largest African-American-owned businesses in the nation.

And he has a very demanding life in business.

And you're going to hear his phone going off in the background or other things happening.

By all outwe remarks, Steve is a runaway success.

But it wasn't a dumb luck or even business savvy that propelled him to the top.

As we're going to find today, it was aggressive moves.

Well, before he occupied the corner office, Steve was cleaning toilets and sweeping floors as a janitor on nights and weekends.
