Now, those of you who've listened regularly over the last couple of, well, what's at about two years now, you've heard me on a number

of occasions, kind of semi-apologize for quoting from the Bible. And I usually say something

like, well, for those of you who, for whom the Bible is not, pardon me, something

significant in your lives, for those of you, for whom the Bible is not anything of a guide

to reality, then at the very least, you can be aware that it's been a monumental work

that has had a colossal impact on Western civilization in which you are privileged to live,

and so I hope you don't mind me quoting.

Now, for those people who are ardent secularists,

and I'm very happy that there are many such people

who listen to the show regularly.

Obviously, they are thoughtful people

and share with me quite often their thoughts.

But the reality is that they will hardly find that apology meaningful.

In other words, I don't know what's the matter with me, sorry,

they will not feel that somehow by my issuing that little caveat, my quotations from the Bible
