With all the excitement of the Michael Bay remake of Friday the 13th coming out on Friday

February 13th, we here at now playing will be looking back at all of the installments

in the Friday the 13th movie franchise, from Crystal Lake to New York to Deep Space.

We'll never come back again, it's got a death curse.

Just a quick warning up front, these are R-rated movies that barely made it past the MPAA

and our discussions of the movies are just as R-rated.

And also, these reviews will contain major spoilers, listener discretion is advised.

I just want to say about part four, this is the first Friday the 13th.

Even though I'd seen the others in VCR, this was the first one that caught my attention

in theaters.

This one had a big marketing blitz, and I remember this is the one that kind of made me go,

huh, they're ending the story on part four, because Stuart, you and I were together on

the playground, and we both talked about how they were going to make 13 of these movies.

And how they were going to finally kill Jason in part 13, that was the big urban legend.

Here it was part four, the final chapter, and we just all kind of went, oh, what about
