Good morning, everyone. The Simple Handicap for Friday, September 9th. Thank you for making me a part of your morning.

0:08.7

One game down in the books, many more to go over the next 18 weeks of the regular season.

0:14.9

Not the best start. O.N. 2. Alan Robinson doesn't even show up for the game. And then the total falls under. Not what I wanted to do to get out of the gate, but a lot of bets on tap for the weekend. Each one posted inside the Telegram channel with a write-up. If you're interested in following along, it is free to do so in the description of this link. All you have to do is tap the link to join. It is free. It'll launch the

telegram app for you. You can get in the channel. You'll get a notification on your phone anytime I make

a bet during the 2022 NFL season. There'll also be a write-up as I have done for 15 years now.

Just crazy to think about. So if you want to follow along in the telegram channel, that is available

for you. An absolute beatdown yesterday by the Buffalo Bills. They win by 21, despite turning the ball

1:01.3

over four times. That doesn't happen very often. And I think the big takeaway for me within the

1:07.7

game as a whole is, I think this is what the NFL is going to look like a lot of times

1:13.8

in 2022. We saw both defenses really sit in a too deep safety look. Last season we saw these

1:22.3

looks presented at the highest rate over the entire league overall as any season in years prior.

1:29.0

But the bills were sitting in it, and the Rams were sitting in it too.

1:31.6

And what it forces teams to do is be extremely patient with their offense,

1:36.3

look at everything underneath, and methodically move down the field.

1:41.0

And for the bills, they put up 413 yards, 7.1 per play. And what was crazy,

1:48.1

the entire game yesterday that really needs to get mentioned is the Bills, they did not punt,

1:55.6

not a single punt the entire game. And what I liked about what Buffalo did in the first half especially was

2:02.5

Josh Allen, as we know throughout the whole offseason was said by McDermott to be running the ball

2:08.6

less. And I think we saw what the ideal offense is now with Dayball out in the first half. And that

2:14.6

was seven different receivers getting involved, the ball being spread around across the field. And that was really just the bills taking what was there because there's so much depth on this offense, it just became really hard for defenses to defend, especially for the Rams, who's not a very deep defense. They have Ramsey. They have Donald. But beyond that, you see a lack of depth. And the

2:34.7

bills really took advantage of that. And then in the second half, once the Rams were really settling,

2:39.8

and the bills started just to show a little bit of signs of struggle late in that first half
