We'll begin today with Hurricane Ida.

Search and rescue teams discovered more devastation yesterday and the wake of Hurricane Ida,

which killed dozens of people throughout the Northeast.

State leaders acknowledged the need to prepare for climate change driven extreme weather

events after hundreds of people were rescued from their homes and their cars and their

basements.

Ida even broke a record for rain.

The previous record holder was Tropical Storm Henry, 12 days ago.

As you know by now, late last night, the Supreme Court did not block Texas's abortion man,

letting it remain in a 5-4 decision, with even the conservative Chief Justice John Roberts

dissenting.

It will remain in effect until someone enforces it, aka, tries to sue anyone who helps

somebody access reproductive health care for $10,000.

And then those cases will likely make it back to the Supreme Court, but in the meantime,

the law is in effect.
