Hello, my friends, and welcome back to another Friday, Pray Together episode.

I'm thankful that you're joining me today.

We have a number of requests from Morning Mindset listeners that we are going to be praying for.

And I want to encourage us today to remember that our God promises us in the book of James,

that if any of you ask for wisdom, he will give generously and without

reproach. And our faith in that concept, our faith in that truth, has a lot to do with prayer.

Because prayer oftentimes needs to be done with wisdom. We need to be discerning in how we ask for things and how we

think about things. And of course, our God is capable of sorting through our stumbling and fumbling as we

pray, but he also wants us to grow in wisdom. He wants us to grow in how we think about the

situations of life. And so our asking him for wisdom in our prayers is a tremendous way in which we can learn to

pray more effectively and we can learn to pray according to his will and according to his heart.

So let's start out there.

Let's start out our prayer time together, asking our God for wisdom.

Jesus, we thank you so much that you have given yourself to us, not only as our Savior and our Redeemer, but also as our life.

And we thank you that you've given us a promise that if we ask for wisdom, you will give it generously and without reproach.

And you encourage us in that context to ask in faith, not doubting, because the one who

doubts about whether or not we're going to receive wisdom is driven and tossed by the waves.

And so right now, Lord, we ask you to give us wisdom as we approach this time of prayer.

We ask you to give us discernment about how we should pray, about the attitude and thoughts we

should have, about you, and about the circumstances we're going to hear and pray about.

Now, Father, we ask you to make our prayer effective for your glory, for your sake,
