Hello, my friends. Welcome back to another Pray Together episode. I want to start out today, reminding us of the promise that we have in Scripture from 1 John chapter 5, verse number 14.

We're told that this is the confidence that we have toward God, toward Jesus, that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we

know that he hears us and whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we asked of him.

So the key there is to be praying according to his will. And how do we do that? How do we know

if what we're asking is according to his will? Well, I we do that? How do we know if what we're asking is according to his

will? Well, I think we can't always know, but we can ask the Holy Spirit, first of all, to guide us in

our prayers, and also to intercede for us, as Romans chapter 8 tells us he does, so that when we're

praying, he will, so to speak, translate what we're praying to the Father

in a way that corresponds with the Father's will.

And then those requests will be answered according to God's will.

Friends, I don't think it's our job to second guess the content of our prayers.

We're to pour out our hearts before the Lord.

But we are to be

confident that when we ask according to His will, and the Holy Spirit will help us do that,

he will answer.

And he will answer in the best way, even if it's not the way we have in mind when we first

begin praying.

All right, today as we begin praying, we have a number of requests, so I encourage you

to stick with me,

and let's pray for these brothers and sisters who have needs here in the family of God.

Lord God, we thank you for the opportunity to pray for the brothers and sisters who are courageous enough,

bold enough, to ask for prayer, and we ask you to answer these prayers according to your will.
