This, a direct result of the high-profile killings of Alex Preddy and Renee Nicole Good,

the two American citizens killed by federal agents in Minneapolis this month.

But Senate Democrats have struck a deal with Republicans to pass five spending bills,

as well as a stopgap measure to fund the

Department of Homeland Security for two weeks while they continue negotiating restrictions
