The primary cross-state highways are closed today in Washington. Both Snowqualmie Pass and Stevens Pass are closed to traffic in both directions as of this afternoon as snow blankets

the roads. Snowqualmie closed this morning due to multiple spinouts and ice on the road. Stevens is another story. Washdot says drivers parked their cars on the side of the highway by the ski resort, which is illegal, by the way, and that meant plows couldn't do their job. As of four o'clock today, both routes are closed. It's going to be a long track home for skiers that made it up to the

passes before things shut down. Both Stevens Pass and the sub-in at Snoqualmie were partially

open for skiing today but have called off night skiing. The largest resort in the state, Crystal

Mountain, was completely closed today due to power and highway closure issues. To the metro areas, National Weather

Service meteorologist Logan Howard says temperatures tonight should stay above freezing.

It'll likely kind of remain slushing and slowly melt tonight. We're not expected to get below

freezing through most of the metro tonight. With it being drier tomorrow, I would expect that

it would allow the streets to slowly dry off a little bit. Howard says it's going to get cold again

tomorrow night, so if there are wet spots, they might freeze. A winter storm morning is still

in effect for the foothills and the mountains until early tomorrow morning.
