| 0:00.0 | This is Everyday Wellness, a podcast dedicated to helping you achieve your health and wellness goals and provide practical strategies that you can use in your real life. |
| 0:11.1 | And now, here is your host, Nurse practitioner Cynthia Thurlow. |
| 0:29.9 | I always think starting off these short but sweet episodes speaking from a place of gratitude. |
| 0:39.2 | And as we are nearing the end of 2021, I am really delighted and excited to say that we are very close to a million downloads on this podcast. And I want to thank you, the listeners, for all of your love and support. It has been a |
| 0:45.7 | slow and steady climb. And my podcast has really become one of my favorite aspects of being an |
| 0:51.9 | entrepreneur, absolutely one of my favorite aspects of being a entrepreneur, absolutely one of my favorite aspects of |
| 0:54.8 | being a human, being able to connect with what I feel to be some of the best and the brightest |
| 0:59.8 | minds and spirits in the health and wellness space. So thank you, thank you. I can't wait to |
| 1:05.9 | share with you what my team and I have conjured up as a celebratory thank you when we hit a million downloads, |
| 1:12.2 | but we are almost there. Next, I want to talk about something I'm loving. I have been a solid |

| 1:24.4 | year. And when we moved to our new city in June, I continued my practice. |
| 1:29.6 | And then when we moved into ultimately our new home, the studios were a little far from where we |
| 1:34.8 | were. And so I kind of convinced myself it wasn't important and that I would find a studio closer |
| 1:40.6 | to my house or start doing a variation of solid core more akin to Pilates. Well, alas, |
| 1:47.1 | in our new city, there are just not a lot of options beyond Solid Core or Pilates that are close. |
| 1:53.2 | So I have renewed my interest in doing Solid Core every week. And I've really been enjoying that |
| 1:59.3 | and actually one of my favorite humans. Ironically, it came down to this new area to open up several new solid core studios. |
| 2:06.0 | And so it's been a joy to be able to see her on mornings that I take her class and she kicks |
| 2:11.3 | my behind. And for if you're not familiar with what solid core is, it is essentially a way to work your body with slow controlled |
| 2:21.6 | resistance-based movement. And you're doing this while you're on an unstable environment. So you |
| 2:27.1 | really have to depend quite a bit on your core. And for any of you that know this, it is far harder than it appears to be. |
