We like to kind of define the issue

So let's talk about college readiness and the idea of that. Amy has kids who are in

college, heading to college. I have middle schoolers still. But I think actually college readiness

happens at every age and stage. So talk a little bit about the idea of college readiness and what kind of work you do

around it. It's a big topic and it's quite broad because what does a student need to be a

successful college student? A lot of those skills start developing very early. There's a level of

independence and confidence to do the work that they need to do.

High school is 80-20. 80% of the learning happens in the classroom. 20% of the learning happens at

home. In college, 20% is in the classroom, 80% is at home. So that's important because in elementary, middle, high school,

there's a lot of reminders. There's a lot of supports in middle school and high school. The bell
