Do you understand how your sin brings destruction and division. This may not be a topic that we like to talk about but we need to.

Over the past couple of searchlight programs we have been considering this issue.

From our story in Joshua chapter 9,

we saw that Satan comes to us as a deceiver

and tries to get us to make peace with our sin.

He tries to convince us that it's no big deal.

We often buy into this deceptive picture of sin.

So how can we see our sin accurately?

Pastor John shared with us that this happens when we take communion.

When we partake of the broken body of Jesus, we realize that our sin brings destruction.

And when we partake of the wine wine we realize that our sin brings death.
