When you can't or won't take up arms to fight a bully, but you don't want him to win,

what's left is sanctions.

The UK is proudly, by example.

We've already put in place the largest package of sanctions in our history.

From banking to oligarchs to energy, sanctions are starting to bite in Moscow.

The Russian rulebook has plunged to a record load, Russia's central bank, doubled its

key interest rate to an unprecedented 20% and in London, I think it's a bit unfair on

the club.

They've known the situation for 19 years, but now because there's a war, they're punishing

Chelsea and punishing the Bramovich.

But what is it realistic to expect sanctions to achieve?
