I think many of us have gotten into this problem, trying somehow to make ourselves acceptable

to God.

And we have gotten into this thing called perfectionism.

What is perfectionism?

Well perfectionism is that disease, judging yourself by your achievements.

And a perfectionist are those whose standards are high, beyond reach or reason.

Now, you may not think that this applies to you, but stay tuned.

Now today's message, as you just heard from Adrian Rogers, freedom from the performance

trapped, our scripture reference is 1 Corinthians 15, 9 and 10.

And verse 10 says this, but by the grace of God, I am what I am.

And his grace toward me was not in vain.

Boy like that.

You know, when you look at this sermon, Byron, first we're going to

recognize that if we're not careful, we can fall into the ruin of perfectionism.

And we also see that perfectionism can be a disease if we're not careful.
