With all the excitement of the Michael Bay remake of Friday the 13th coming out on Friday

February 13th, we here at now playing will be looking back at all of the installments

in the Friday the 13th movie franchise, from Crystal Lake to New York to Deep Space.

To ever come back again, it's got a death curse.

Just a quick warning up front, these are R-rated movies that barely made it past the MPAA

and our discussions of the movies are just as R-rated.

And also, these reviews will contain major spoilers, listener discretion is advised.

Today we're talking about Freddie vs. Jason, the final movie in our Friday the 13th Retrospective.

This is Brock, and Arnie, the man of your dreams.

You've been waiting 11 movies to say that haven't you?

Well, this movie was something a little bit different, and something people have been waiting

for for quite some time when our friend Jason Voorhees goes up against the master Freddie

Krueger.

And this is a really fun movie for me, because I am the noob in this series.

I am the guy who's never seen the Friday the 13th movies before.

And just like the Friday the 13th movies, I've only seen the first Nightmare on Elm Street

movie.

For me, to experience full on Freddie was a real joy, the first time I've ever done

that, and he was a really fun character.

You know, if you have never seen the Nightmare on Elm Street series, and I'm sure when

we do our retrospective next year for Nightmare, we'll go through this, but I think the
