You're home for everything. Lakers, the Lakers summer. It is here. We've got so much going on in the world of Los Angeles Lakers, trying to figure out how they're going to build up this roster for next season. We've got some big, big dates coming up. We've got the draft less than a month away. We've got free agency. we've got Summer League, the trade market,

so many different things to break down.

And one of the things,

the deeper and deeper I dive into the Lakers cab situation. The further I look at the different

options that they've got, man, it gets complicated very quick and a lot of it is going to hinge

upon Austin Reeves, Rui Honcha Murrah, DeAngelo Russell, what kind of deals do those players get? That's going to go a long way towards determining what the Lakers options are out there on the market. I'm going to open up the call-in line in just a moment for those of you joining the show live over on AMP. Welcome in. This is going to be our time slot for the majority of the summer. Again, we're going to be focusing in the offseason for a bid here and what the Lakers can do in order

to build out that roster and hopefully make a finals push.

And I think that this roster with a full training camp has the potential to be the team

to come out of the Western Conference.

I won't put it past them.

The West is going to be a gauntlet, particularly when we look at for next season, just

taking a peek ahead at the very least, you're going to have Victor Wenbanyama in San Antonio.

On top of that, the Houston Rockets, if they make that push to go get James Hardin,

things could get even more crowded in the West than they were this last season.

So nothing is a given in a Western conference that projects to be a brutal gauntlet.

But nonetheless, this Lakers team, they went from the seventh seed heading into the postseason all the way to the Western Conference finals.

And no, it didn't end the way we wanted it to.

Absolutely didn't.

But still an impressive accomplishment.

And there's still a lot to be optimistic about moving forward, even if the Lakers don't make some big swing for the fences kind of move, some type of home run, pie in the sky, Kyrie Irving type of deal. By the way, that's where I want to start with the whole Kyrie situation and all of that. Again, I am going to open up the phone line in just a moment, for those you joining live over on AMP.
