I'm John Batcher to France, to the turmoil in France, not only in Paris,

but all parts.

Reporting is Simon Constable, who writes for barrens and forbs and other distinguished publications.

A week passed, Simon reported that he had visited the town of Albe in the south of France

and to lose as well.

And it's seen police gathered together not deployed in riot gear,

but no rioting.

Since then, there's been alarming news throughout France,

but outside of Paris of large groups of people protesting,

President Macron's initiative to raise the retirement age from 62 to 64,

which of course seems generous.

But then again, all anxiety in Europe is driven by the same story in the US,

a pending recession and large inflation numbers coming out of the pandemic,
