Let's dive into everything baseball related from Saturday, August 24th, starting off as

always with the transactions, injuries, news, and notes from around the league will start it off

with the bad news as outfielder Alex Call of the Nationals was placed on the 10-day IL with a partial

tear of the plantar fascia in his left foot.

The significant injury could be season ending for Call,

who was in the midst of a breakout season with a 168 WRC plus through 30 games.

Dylan Cruz will be promoted tomorrow to take over for Call in the cornerout field in the nation's capital moving forward.

In terms of transactions

relief pitcher camillo deval was recalled from the miners deval was demoted two weeks ago after

struggling to a 6.43 aurea after the all-star break with seven strikeouts to one walk in five and two

third innings at triple a doval showed the front office what they needed to see to bring him back up, but Deval

will likely need a win over his manager next before reclaiming the closer roll from

Ryan Walker.

Next starting pitcher, Ranger Suarez was activated from the 15-day IL as expected.

Suarez had been out since late July with a back injury and looked great in his return,
