Summary

Americans continue to feel the pain of inflation. In an effort to curb the growing problem, the Federal Reserve announced this past Wednesday plans to speed up the tapering of pandemic era stimulus and make aggressive moves including three rate hikes in the next year. Earlier this week, host Jessica Rosenthal spoke to Mark Zandi, Chief Economist at Moody's Analytics, to break down how the Federal Reserve efforts to address America's inflation problem, and what can be done to address America's labor shortage. Zandi also weighed in on how government spending and hopes by the White House to pass their pricey Build Back Better agenda could also impact the economy. The interview was too long and we could not include all of it in our original segment. On the FOX News Rundown Extra, you will hear our entire conversation with Mark Zandi and get a better understanding of what drives inflation, how it impacts average families and what can be done to get it under control.
