So we just heard the top of the hour Fox News reporting, oil surging, more firing than hiring.

None of that sounds very good, and it's probably an appropriate time to take a look at some polling data.

We've got the latest Fox News poll, and pretty much the poll shows that voters are giving bad grades to the economy, to Congress, and to Donald Trump.

And that's really revealing.

It's something deeper.

It's not just dissatisfaction with one leader.

It shows that Americans think the entire system isn't working. Well, and Donald Trump is the face of the

system. So I think that when things aren't working, look, Congress has their own awful approval ratings

and they're much, much worse than Donald Trump's. Let's start there. But Trump's real strength has always been about his base. And the polls that we've seen recently as it relates to that, his popularity with the base still really, really strong. I don't care. We've seen it proven out. I don't care what Donald Trump does. Democrats are going to hate them. Democrats are going to give them poor ratings

when it comes to polling. We saw that at the State of the Union speech. He said, hey, stand up if you

agree with me. America should focus on American citizens and not illegal aliens. And all the Republicans

stood up and cheer, and not one Democrat did anything. They all sat there with the sour puss on

their face and their hands sitting on their hands. Donald Trump could cure cancer and Democrats would be like, what are we wasting our time

on cancer for? Cancer's not that bad. We got bigger problems than cancer. This is about Donald

Trump's base. And so I think as long as Donald Trump keeps his base numbers high, he's just

fine.

According to the numbers, only 30% of voters say the economy is doing well,

while most of them are saying it's only fair report.

A record 70% disapprove of job congressional Democrats are doing, just as you mentioned,

only 29% approve. So voters are feeling economic pain, and they're blaming leaders in both parties, especially

Congress for all the rising costs and the tough cost of living environment that we're in.

Nobody in Washington is winning the game right now.
