For today's episode, our topic is The Four of Swords. Let's begin.

The Four Swords is one of those cards that tends to freak out my clients a bit.

When they see the image, they often think that it means death.

And you know, it's not hard to see how they get that idea.

After all, the figure's lying on a casket in a church right so before you get all fearful on this card though

let's take a closer look at those symbols. Now first of all we want to take a peek at this

figure and if you look at him you'll notice that he's lying with his hands

folded. This is a symbol of lifelessness or rest and the hands symbolized prayer.

We might see this figure as the hero's death or a rest after battle.

And actually I got to tell you guys, this figure actually reminds me of a pose that I teach in my yoga class called Bishmasina's pose, which means Bishma's death.

The pose requires four bricks strategically placed under the student's body.

And this creates a sense of levitation because the body no longer touches the floor. It's a very restful

pose and a big shoulder opener. And you know getting into it is a bit of a chore but once the student is in the pose they relax

almost instantly. Anyhow I digress but this is what this figure instantly

brings to mind for me so right away I look at the energy of the

four swords as being at peace, relaxing. Let's take a look at those four swords too. You're going to notice that there are three on the

wall which points to the pain of the previous card, the three of swords. The fourth one is

buried in the casket, a sign of burying the pain and moving on.
