First, however, let's do the brief.

First up on the brief today, our regular check-in around COVID economic indicators.

So the first has to do with jobless claims.

Initial jobless claims came in under one million for the first time

since the crisis began. Now, they're only down to the 960,000 range, so you're still seeing

nearly a million jobless claims even this far into things. But what you're not seeing is a

return to increased numbers, which we had a couple weeks ago.

The same applies to the continuing claims, which are in the 15 to 16 million range now,

down from 20 million just about a month ago.

Now, it's kind of hard and weird in some ways to think about being excited about such

huge numbers.
