Oh boy, it's one of my favorite segments we do on the show.

It's time to take a giant dump on township government

and give another example of how you the taxpayer are getting screwed

that this thing is allowed to exist.

It's Kendall and Casey's show.

Jerry Lopez, our old pal, Indie Spanglish on Twitter, in for Casey. And, you know,

one of the things that came out of this abomination of a property tax bill was these public

hearings in which we, it was confirmed us what we already knew, is that township government

is sitting on gobs and gobs of your money.

It's taking lots of money from you. It's raising your property taxes. And it basically serves

no purpose. And they want more. We need more money.

Came out in all the hearings that township government, which you pay for in your property

taxes, sitting on about $700 million of money. And again, by and large, township government,

an antiquated, outdated system that in 1884 probably had some purpose when people

traveled by horseback from one destination to the next.

But today mostly just makes township trustees rich and powerful and lets them prepare for their next endeavor into public office.
