My name is Michael Roundtree, and today we're going to talk about forgiveness and some of the misconceptions associated with it.

The inspiration for this episode was another episode done by Mike Winger on his channel,

which you should check out.

It's excellent.

And in it, he talks about Erica Kirk forgiving her

enemies, and particularly Tyler Robinson. And it was surprising to look at some of the comments

that came out of his video. I'll read a few of them to you. And I think they reflect some of these

misconceptions about forgiveness.

One person says, forgiveness shouldn't be earned through true repentance and change, not

just given out to anyone, especially days after they've committed the most heinous act imaginable.

Another one, Joan Bross, she says, take heed to yourselves. If, uh, if the brother trespasses against you,

rebuke him. And if he repents, forgive him. That's a quote of Luke 173. And so she's using this
