Good morning and welcome to the Independent Republic of Mike Graham right here on Talk

Radio. Here we are, ladies and gentlemen, at the brink of yet another crossroads, another

bump in the journey, another plane full of passengers going absolutely nowhere, or at the very

least going back to where they started from. Off to the left are the sage advisors telling

Boris Johnson that it would be terribly unwise to lift all the restrictions as planned on June the 21st.

In the middle, it's Health Secretary Matt Hancock, not always in the middle on these things,

telling anyone that wants to listen that he is open to keeping things closed.

And off to the right are all the business people, all the families, all the NHS patients and individualists

who know that it is the right

thing to do for the government to stick to its promises. After all, what's the point of making a

promise if you're not actually going to bother adhering to it? This morning we'll be taking the

temperature of the nation as usual and asking you how you're doing, what you're doing and where

you're doing it. Because if you're in Portugal, trying to get back here, we'd love to hear from you. If you're at an airport anywhere, we'd love to hear from you.

because what we want is a couple of correspondents down there. We're not going to bother spending

any money going to cover the G7 because there isn't any point. It's a bun fest for a lot of very, very wealthy

people who think that they're important and who are diplomats and who are politicians, who are

world leaders, you know, polishing their own sort of trophies and polishing their own egos and

telling each other how great they all are. In the meantime, costing us an absolute bleedin fortune.
