because we're here with Robert Strauss. His Instagram is The farmer on the roof, fantastic name. When I was out there,

Robert, in Barcelona, the first thing I noticed, it reminded me of the way I had seen someone

else grow, and this was a man in New York who was growing for I think a

celebrity chef-owned restaurant but on the ground but he was growing in the

container that you use so I would love to hear a little bit about

specifically how you're growing on a roof.

Yes, I remember that episode, Kevin, and I looked at that pretty closely.

There were a couple of differences.

That fellow, and I forget the name of his restaurant,

he was growing in containers that were a one foot by one foot by one foot.

So one cubic foot.

And he had something like 3,000 of them.

It was an amazing thing.

I started out trying to use those simple wooden containers

that you see around old-style fruit shops for delivery of lattices and things like that they wouldn't

hold very much load. Then what I noticed was that people were throwing out not

people but fruit and vegetable stores were throwing out much more

robust plastic crates, I guess we would call them. And I thought I would try that.

Now the normal way of building out a rooftop

would be to do it say the way Brooklyn Grange has done it in New York City if you're
