Welcome to a very special episode of Talking Feds, a roundtable that brings together prominent

former federal officials and special guests for a dynamic discussion of the most important

legal topics of the day.

I'm Harry Littman.

We're going to be discussing the Supreme Court case involving the Trump administration's

attempt to rescind DACA, the Obama-era policy that allows undocumented young adults, dreamers,

who came to the United States as children to apply for protection from deportation.

But it's our great good fortune to have for this discussion the presidents of three of

the countries and the world's leading universities, whom as you'll hear have a keen interest

in DACA.

But as we tape, the country is in full coronavirus crisis.

The United States has now passed 35,000 cases and 500 deaths with cases continuing to

double every two to three days and New York having more deaths per capita than Italy.

So I want first to take the valuable opportunity to ask the leaders of three large, diverse

and creative communities how they are approaching the virus and then move on to discussion of DACA.

So let me introduce our guests and then ask them to discuss the virus for a few minutes

before turning back to the Supreme Court.

We have in alphabetical order or from East to West first, Chris Icegruber, who has served

as Princeton University's 20th president since July 2013.

He previously was Princeton's provost for nine years, beginning in 2004, after joining

the Princeton faculty in 2001 as the director of the program in law and public affairs

where we met.
