It was the first of two rookie games for the Philadelphia Flyers prospects on Friday night at the

PPL Center in Allentown. And the Flyers, with some late game drama, were able to come away

with the 4-3 overtime win. Lots of standouts in this game leading the way. Denver Barkie,

Alex Bump, and game-winning goal score, Nikita Grebenkin. I'm Charlie O'Connor with

P.HLY Sports, and these are your Flyers post-game notes. So we'll start with a little recap of the

game. It didn't look good to start for the Philadelphia Flyers. Rookies. They went down to

nothing after just four minutes and 33 seconds. Carson Bjornison gave up a particularly weak goal on the second goal.

It looked like the Flyers were in for a long night.

But then both Bjornison and the team started to settle in.

They stabilized the rest of the first period.

Then in the second, Denver Barkie and Alexis Jendron scored to tie the game.

Flyers fell behind again later in the second,

but then midway through the third, Jacob Gosey scored to tie the game off of a really nice set of plays by Devin Kaplan.

That made the score three to three and eventually sent the game to overtime.

And in overtime, it was Nikita Grabenkin, the main player piece of the trade

that sent Scott Lawton to Toronto at last year's trade deadline. He ripped a shot into the net to give

the flyers the 4-3 overtime game winner and give them the one-game edge over the Rangers in this back-to-back

rookie game series. Okay, so that was the game and that was the score. But who stood out

out of the Flyers prospects? The number one on my list, Denver Barkie did score that first

goal of the game, but it wasn't just the goal. He was everywhere in this game from his very first shift. He was creating chances for himself. He was setting up chances for

his linemates. Denver Barkie was great. And don't just take it for me. John Snowden, the head
