we will get into everyone's questions for this week. And I'm going to do something a little bit

different where I didn't plan out my answers to this. That's right. I'm usually a prepper. But I'm just going to kind of wing it because I feel like I have initial off-the-bat answers for I think five or six of these. And mom and dad, if you're listening, the second half of this are all sexual question write-ins. So stop listening once you hear that. But we're going to start with the PG-rated ones.

Somebody looked in and they said, hey, Shannon, I'm looking for advice on how not to spiral and

overthink about my boyfriend's ex. They were together for five years. I've been with my

boyfriend for a year. And when we first started the relationship, I really struggled with

insecurity. And I was a bit Olivia Rodrigo obsessed with her.

We've worked through it. She never comes up anymore, but I sometimes check her Insta. I'm trying

to do it less and less. Now, he posted me on Instagram in June, so we were kind of going Instagram

official. I've now realized that his ex has blocked me. The last time I tried to look her up was in

February, so it could have happened at any time, but how do I not overthink this or get

bothered that she blocked me? Here is my answer, and this is something that all women need to know.

When you are dating a guy, you look at his ex and you think, oh my God,

she is so powerful. I need to be insecure. I need to be worried about her. And then when you're

dating a guy and you break up with him and he dates a new girl, you are now in that same position,

but you look at your ex's new girl and you go, oh my God, I'm so, you know, I'm obsessed with her.

She's so much better than me.

Why am I not enough?

Both parties feel like they're in the victim position and they feel like the other person is all powerful.

And the truth of the matter is both parties have a little bit of an advantage

and then also a little bit of a disadvantage. It's just, you know, we fall into it every time
