Hello and welcome. You were listening to the LOLL Storytime podcast. It has been a hot minute since we've dropped a new story and this one is long overdue. So enough with the intro already. Let's just jump right into today's story, which is called Flowers Stink. flowers stink.

This is the story of Little Joey, a kid who considered himself the world's greatest

grandson and was always genuinely surprised when someone would suggest that he tried doing

something nice for his grandmother. Do something nice? What were these people on about? Joey was constantly doing nice

things for his grandmother. He was always giving her suggestions of amazing things to do, like

cooking him his favorite supper, watching him play baseball for hours on end. He even told her

she was welcome to clean his lucky

undies any time she wanted. And he didn't just let anyone clean his lucky undies. So exactly

how many more nice things do people expect? Was he supposed to give her the joy of letting

him stay up all night playing video games and eating cheesies? He supposed he could try

letting her do that, though he didn't

exactly want to spoil her or anything either. According to his best friend Chelsea, the answer

was flowers. She explained that all grandmothers love flowers and it's basically the number

one nice thing you can do for a grandma. Joey wasn't convinced. He had never seen his grandma with flowers before.

And would she even have time to enjoy them between buying them presents and baking them cookies?

Well, Joey decided it probably wouldn't be the hardest thing in the world to give it a try.

If flowers were a bust, he figured he could always just let her do his homework.

After school one day,

little Joey wandered over to his next-door neighbor's house and started picking flowers

from their very beautiful garden. His neighbor spent a lot of time working on this garden and
