And we have another loaded show coming your guys' way. I mean, today we're talking about the freshman class and they're everything that we thought they would be after what we got to see from spring. We're talking about overrated and underrated quarterbacks in college football, which is going to be a very, very fun segment, a couple of segments in today's show. But Brian, before we get to all of that, we have an exciting commitment to break down a Florida safety. John Gay commits. He committed earlier this afternoon about little over an hour ago.

And like you guys know, how we get down here, we're talking backstory. We're talking class impact. We're going to dive into the film. And then we're going to talk about what's next. So loaded day here on the Irish Breakdown podcast, man. Yeah, no doubt. And a great way to kick it off. we were going to talk 2028 recruiting.

We're going to have to hold off on that until another day, Trev, so we can talk about the commitment from John Gay. Knew this was going to happen. I've made some little kind of, if you really know me, you might have picked up on some of those things on the message board. But, you know, Notre Dame absolutely killed it this weekend with him,

crushed it during his visit.

This was coming.

And then we found out today, like today was going to be the day. So we're like, hey, what a great way to kick off the Notre Dame rundown this week

with a discussion about John Gay's commitment.

So I also like the fact, Treb,

they're dipping into Florida.

You know, there's several talented kids from Florida that they're trying to go after.

Obviously, John Gay is in the class now.

They're going after Julius Jones Jr.

Zaden Gamble, just to name a few.

So this staff is going everywhere to find talented players and able to go, you know, able to go down to state with Champ Mons as another player that they're from Florida that they're trying to get in the 27 class. So Notre Dame is definitely saying, hey, we're going to go anywhere, any place, go against anybody in land a kid. And getting John Gay, obviously, is going to be big. We're going to break that whole thing down.

But that's a big commitment.

And it's the first commitment for the new coaches because we have yet to see Charlie

Partridge, Brian Jean-Marie, or Aaron Henry get a commitment.

I'm not panicked by that.

It's just a statement of fact. It's not a

criticism. I care about where they are at the end. They're going after some big fish. Brian
