Lots going on in the NFL this week, Connor, there was a virtual owners meeting on Tuesday, which brought up an important issue that was discussed during the meeting and the days leading up to the meeting, which is better

representation among the head coach, general manager, leadership ranks in the NFL.

I think it's certainly been a problem for the NFL over the course of its history.

Minorities have not received the opportunities to be in leadership roles despite the

league being composed of about 70% black players and

particularly this year it was really hard to ignore if anyone was actually ignoring it

which some have been.

past four to five months the NFL has behind the scenes been working on ways to address this more aggressively.

Friday afternoon, one of the more controversial parts of this plan came to light through a proposal that was discussed at the

owners meeting on Tuesday which was the idea of incentivizing through draft

pick capital the hiring of minorities as head coaches, general managers, or in other positions.

There were a variety of measures that would give teams either a compensatory pick or a draft slot boost if they hired a minority

into a number of different roles. But it was one part of a broader strategy as
