Sean Woodland and Tommy Marquez here with you.

And today we are talking with the eight-time CrossFit Games competitor,

the 2020 Rogue Invitational Champion,

and the three-time defending Wattapalooza champion, Pat Velner.

We talked to him about his experience at the CrossFit Games last year.

Coming up short in the final event of the 2022 Rogue Invitational,

how the team of him, Brent Fakowski, and Jeff Adler,

came together for this year's Waterpaloza,

and what it would take for him to consider going team for the CrossFit games.

Pat, how are you doing today, man?

I'm good, fellas. How are you doing?

Doing great. It's been a while since we've actually talked to you.

A lot has happened since then. I think the last time we actually talked with Pat, it was before the games.

Right before the games, July.

So let's go all the way back to, uh, to Madison and just kind of look

back on that experience and what were the main takeaways from those days and, uh, those four days

in Madison. Oh man. That's like long time. I've got to think back on. Um, what are the hot issues that the games this year?

Programming was different for sure.

And I think it was kind of what we expected it to be.

A lot of execution becoming very important.
