Paris and often it's about things that you kind of would connect immediately with Paris. You know,

things like recent episodes have been fashion and food and tourist traps and that kind of stuff.

But this is a very different episode indeed. This is an episode about fishing.

My guest is Fred Meisner, who I'm going to introduce properly in a second, but I just want to paint a little

bit of a picture and give you some background info first, especially if you're new around

here. This is one of the episodes, I call them on the go episodes. So you'll hear me out

and about in Paris. You'll hear the sound of, as often happens on the show,

you hear the sound of a police car going past.

Maybe you'll even hear the sound of the river flowing beneath us.

You'll hear people walking past.

You'll hear me almost trip over a poodle at one point.

But that's just to set the scene.

We're going to be walking from one edge of the Il San Luis to the other. In fact, we end on the

But first, a bit of housekeeping. When you hear two and a half meters in this episode, if you don't

know what a meter is, I've done it for you. It's just over eight feet. And when you hear 100 kilos, that's 220 pounds. There's a bit of a clue for something that

might be coming up. There's also a mention of 50 centimeters, which is about one and a half

feet. So there you go. You're welcome. How this episode came about was kind of cool.
