Now the shotgun's starting golf is full of mathematics, there's a lot of a lot of setup work that we have to do in order to make a tournament work, so I'm going to demonstrate to you just exactly how we do a shotgun start here.

Ladies and welcome to a Monday edition of the shotgun start is July 11th. Andy, how are we doing?

Brennan, I'm doing wonderful. I'm a little tired but can't say that I'm having a bad day.

Yeah, fantastic. First weekend. I guess you'd call it a weekend. It's kind of been feels like 24 hours, 36 hours, the time's all over the place.

But you know what time it got to St. Andrews tonight as we record this late Sunday night here in Scotland, walk the course, play a little golf prior to that.

It's been just a fantastic quick jump into the deep end here in Scotland.

So you had to hit the ground run. You had a religious experience out there tonight, didn't you?

That was great. I mean, it's probably been dramatic, but late, good light kind of walked one through 18 all the way down.

Yeah, it was, it was beautiful night. I mean, warm, nice breeze, unbelievable, sunny and just cool seeing, seeing the old course.

But waited a long time and was really, really neat. I mean, you just, I've heard so many people talk about it and, you know, read so much about it over the years that, you know, whether it be Alison McKenzie's book or, you know, Tom Doek's books, you know, and Jeff Shackleford's books and getting out there and seeing it.

I just, I think like one of the things having watched so many opens on TV is like how poorly TV showcases the course is one thing that that you just like the contouring the fairways and the way they move and stuff is just it's so neat.

I think, I mean, in TV's defense, like those contours don't show up well like in the middle of the day, which is when they're primarily shooting it and, you know, when golfers are playing, but,

man, what a, what a cool spot. I'm giving earth shattering.

Yeah, you know, I think like obviously a lot of people say it's, you know, obviously so many glowing and amazing things. I thought it was interesting for you the first time you came in.

Pretty like fully not, not formed, but ready to appreciate it, right?

Not fully educated, not completely educated. I'd say to a lesser extent myself, like for me, I certainly have a better understanding of then if I was 25, right?

If I was here for college, and I definitely understood more so what to look for was cool.

So we played Mirafield in goal number two and goal number two is like a really good example of this is like it's not, it's not like a championship course.

It's not the course that they host the Scottish at. It's not super well known technically. Yeah, it's not super well known because it's number two.

It's not the number one course. It's not the championship course.
