Hey deserving listeners, I have a huge backlog of patron email, so I thought I'd get to a bunch today. Let's get to it.

This first email is from anonymous patron. She writes,

how do you help someone when the trauma is occurring in the moment, like for

first responders in the email she goes on to say that she is a first responder, she responds to car accidents etc.

People sometimes are dying or have died

End of email. So there's a lot of things to say but in brief. on but just in case you don't. If someone is going through a moment like that, they are in

shock, trauma, or some other acute psychological trauma state.

They're not themselves.

And so there's a lot of different things you can do,

but there's not anything you can do necessarily to eliminate the acute traumatic

psychological state that they're in.

And so a big part of it is just giving them time.

But other things you can do is to be there for them, to understand their state of mind,
