It's first base the second most shallow position in Fantasy Baseball the season behind

second base especially when you consider DJ LeMahue and Max Monzi. They have first base eligibility

but I imagine most people will actually be playing them at second base. What do you think?

I think we have to start this conversation off with a what do we mean? What are we talking about

when we talk about deep and shallow? That kind of discussion because in one way I think first base

is probably pretty shallow. In terms of star level difference makers first base is probably a

shallow as it's ever been. I think you could maybe say there's three and it really depends on

whether you think Pitalanzo is a star level difference maker. Then you've got your Matt Olsins,

your Anthony Rizzo, your Paul Goldschmitz, who are good maybe great players but certainly don't

count among the potential fantasy league winners. Let's say the guys who can carry your entire team.

Those first round type guys. In that case I think you can say it's fairly shallow.
