More details are emerging about what led to the fire bombing attack on members of the Jewish community in Boulder, Colorado.

Federal authorities say the suspect, Mohamed Sabri Solomon, told them the assault was driven by his simmering anger towards Israel and hatred of what he called Zionists.

The acting U.S. attorney for Colorado, J. Bishop Gruhl, said Solomon had been planning the attack for a year.

When he was interviewed about the attack, he said he wanted them all to die.

He had no regrets, and he would go back and do it again. The 12 people injured in the attack regularly hold events to bring attention to the hostages still held in Gaza, and an affidavit said Solomon targeted them after finding them online.

Officials say Solomon is an Egyptian national,

with sources telling CNN he had applied for asylum in the US

and was denied a visa to enter the country in 2005.

He said that he had previously tried to purchase a firearm,

but resorted to the Molotov cocktails,

when he could not purchase a gun because he was not a legal citizen.

The 45-year-old now faces a federal hate crime charge and state charges of attempted murder.

The White House wants Congress to formalize a whole load of doge cuts. An official at the Office of Management and Budget says the White House is expected to send its long-awaited spending cuts package today,

totaling $9.4 billion.

It's known in Congress as a recisions request, and once it's submitted, Congress will have 45 days to consider it. Meanwhile,
