If you have evidence of wrongdoing by any member of the Trump campaign

present it to the damn grand jury, if you have evidence that this president

acted inappropriately present it to the American people, whatever you got, finish it

the hell up. That was Trey Gowdy, the chairman of the House

Oversight and Government Reform Committee, delivering a stern message last week to

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein about Robert Mueller's

Russia Gate investigation. Enough already, Gowdy told him, let's see what you

got and get this thing over with. It may have seemed to some that Gowdy was

pressing Rosenstein to wrap up the Mueller probe or even shut it down for

partisan advantage to remove an electoral threat to the GOP during this year's

congressional elections. But it's not just Republicans who are starting to talk

this way. A former Watergate prosecutor who believes there is already enough

evidence on the table to charge Trump with obstruction of justice is also

getting impatient. The months long back and forth about whether Trump will sit

down for an interview he argues has become pointless and a waste of time. It's a

debate that could well be coming to a head very soon during what is starting to

look like a momentous month for Trump's White House. With a new Supreme Court

pick about to be announced quickly followed by a Trump Putin summit in Helsinki.
