Welcome to fine-tuning with Drew Taylor, your one-stop shop when it comes to animation news and commentary. I'm Drew's co-host entertainment writer Jim Hill and when Drew and I were sketching out this

week's show we would start with Pinocchio that's right Drew or yeah yeah I mean

that was until yesterday that was the biggest animation news of the week.

Makes sense? I mean, here's Garmal Dittoro with his Pinocchio, his passion project that he's been trying to get made for years.

And so here we are, we're preppingpping that and then this itty bitty teeny tiny

tiny piece of news breaks about Ed Catmull who for those of you don't know

basically the Uber Meister now that John Lasseter is left.

Well, John Lasseter is still in the process, officially, of leaving Pixar and Disney. But to have had Catmull announced that he's retiring,

this is really End of an era stuff.

Yeah, it's pretty crazy.

I think we're going to get into it a little bit more later but it's it's interesting because his legacy in many ways is going to be just as complicated as as Mr. Lasseter's when he leaves yeah.

All right so let's let's hold off on that,
