Drew, are we a suspicious person? Does Friday of the 13th mean anything to you or not since I made it out alive from that summer camp in Western Connecticut?

0:23.6

Jim. I was actually managing a theater when the very first Friday of the 13th film was made and I remember the guys at the film booking office in Boston talking about this terrible movie that had been made.

0:44.0

I want to say they shot it in the fall. In fact, if you're paying attention to the very first Friday of the 13th film.

0:50.8

The leaves have changed, which means that all of the actors are freezing to death when they do these scenes down in the water in that set of things.

0:58.0

But it was just God this terrible movie that Frank what was his name? Oh, Mankusa, there we go. Alright, who made this terrible movie that then made so much money, you know, and it was kind of an Oklahoma land rush to get into making a killing kids at camp movies, but, you know, it's just so funny to talk with the focus film.

1:20.5

Bookie, who knew Frank, who knew that he had the script and he got the steel on this empty camp that it finished its season and they shot it quickly there and who was it?

1:30.6

Skavino, who did the Oh, Tom sir, Tom sir, yeah, yeah, I got to talk to him once about jamming the arrow through Kevin Bacon's throat and get all the whole rig that they set up for that.

1:42.8

That's so great. It was all done in a dime and made a fortune. So yeah, well, when I was when I was writing for the for an independent weekly in Fairfield County, you know,

1:53.8

because Sean Cunningham is from Westport and there's there's a moment in one of the later movies where they pass by a sign that says like Bridgeport and then I think Westport or Bridgeport and New Haven or something.

2:06.2

And so I had done all this work and figured out that I thought that Camp Crystal Lake was in Fairfield, Connecticut, which is where I was living at the time and wrote this whole thing and you know, talked to people.

2:17.8

So it's I think the franchise is a lot of fun and so it's good to have it excuse to watch it and, you know, Friday the 13th is here.

2:24.9

What are they? No, it is. It is. It is, you know, and just and in fact, what would Betsy Palmer who played the mom so good did it affect I think they got it for a day.

2:35.2

And I think she was in a Broadway show. No, yeah, that's exactly and you know, she she you know then made a very good living, you know, making appearances as horror cons for the rest of her life, but how did you spend your Friday the 13th?

2:50.1

Just working Jim and I'm talking to you. So this is the right. This is the scary part. Oh, well, there we go. Oh, very scared.

2:57.1

I spent my Friday working as well. And I watched all three of the how to stay at home goofy. I don't even think you can call these shorts. They're not even long enough to be shorts, right?

3:09.6

Yeah, somebody on somebody on Twitter today said I thought I had sat on the remote.

3:15.5

Ah, that's not short. They are like, like maybe 60 seconds each.

3:24.1

Yeah, I mean, yeah, I went into these really wanting to elect them because of course they're from Eric Goldberg and they're produced by Dorothy McKim and, you know, two great pros, but they're kind of toothless, aren't they?

3:39.0

Yeah, there's just not there aren't really any gags per se. They're just sort of interstitially, you know, material. I don't know. I mean, I thought the animation was beautiful. I love that Eric and our buddy Marquand are working on these, but you're right. I was I was very excited Jim and I was a little disappointed.

4:01.0

Well, I have to say, you know, it on and what sort of way it wasn't fair to drop, for example, how to cook on the exact same day that the new wonderful world of making mouse short bell boys debut, which has crazy, wonderful stuff in it where goofy is cooking.

4:21.4

Yes, with bread with bread. Yes, you know, in fact, that's the thing, the cooking joke actually tags that particular short to go from watching the three how to say that at home things, which mildly entertaining to seeing Bell boys or for that matter, I heart Mickey.
