commentary. I'm Drew's co-host, entertainment writer Jim Hill, and he and I are recording

this show on Wednesday, August 4th, 2021. Very, very big day for animation fans, the second set

of short, circuit shorts from Walt Disney Animation Studios has just been posted on Disney Plus.

You work a fan of the first set of these, right, Drew? Where...

Yes, I was. I mean, I went to this insane press event at Walt Disney Animation Studios where

they sat us in the theater and ran, you know, all 14 rounds. Yeah, that was a lot of fun,

but yeah, I really love these and I was really excited that these showed up today.

The key to the short circuit films is experimental films, done a variety of styles. We had 14

of them drop back in January of 2020. We look at five this time around. I got to assume the

pandemic played some sort of a role there, don't you think, or... Yeah, I think so, yeah.

back to the second set of short, circuit shorts. This was a ridiculously strong bunch. I don't think

there's a real dud in the bunch. I agree. But did you have a favorite out of the pile or... Well,

I mean, I love dinosaur barbarian, obviously. Yeah, very much in the vein of both primal and toy

story of the time forgot with the kind of, you know, medieval setting and an 80s theme song. I

just thought that was really fun. And I love that it was traditionally animated too. I thought

that was great. So this project was dreamed up by Kim Hazel. If you looked at the credits,

there's a lot of heavy hitters from the 2D world who worked on this. I mean, Alex Skooper Schmidt,
