that is being released on October the 10th as a paperback. The hardcover copy has been available

for I think a little bit over a year now and so my publisher when they were they were really excited

and they're like we have to bring this to paperback to make it more accessible for people,

it has a new cover, it has a new subtitle to angle it as more of an autobiographical piece,

I believe. So Finding Freedom in Forgiveness is a really key theme in this book and so today

I'm going to be unpacking some of the ways in which I have used forgiveness as a spiritual practice

and I really want to say here that when it comes to spirituality and personal development

there's a lot of spiritual bypassing that goes on it's like taking the higher road and doing

affirmations until you feel better and you're not necessarily processing those more shadow parts

of ourselves, the murky waters that are almost like subterranean these little how do I put this?

These issues that we have that we want to keep hidden right we all have them we're human beings

we're on this journey called life and we have things that we would never want people to see

or never want people to know about us that we keep locked away in hidden because we fear judgment

we fear that somebody will not accept us if they knew the real us underneath that it's almost

for some people it could be like leading a double life or being a secret agent or a vigilante superhero

that nobody can ever understand your true identity and so we keep these parts of us private
