And I'm joined today by Stuart Pierce who is the author of

Diana The Voice of Change which is a self-help book which speaks about the

techniques that Stuart used while working is Princess Diana's vocal coach.

Welcome to the show, Stuart, how are you?

Hi, I'm absolutely thrilled to be here.

It's lovely to meet you, so thank you for being so charming and lovely. Well, I'm going to jump straight in if that's all right because we've got lots of questions that we want to ask you today.

So firstly, can you just briefly describe what you do?

What does a vocal coach do?

So I was, I started off as an actor and worked as an actor in the 70s.

So I gained a lot of theatre experience of using my voice in very, very large containers,

particularly within the classics.

And then in the late 70s, 80s I made this organic shift through the

inspiration of a very remarkable woman with whom I'd worked at the Royal

Shakespeare Company called

Sicily Barry, who Alas is now dead.

But she was the voice director of the Royal Shakespeare Company.

And had was responsible for giving voices to Ian McKellen, Judy Denge, Patrick Stewart, Ben Kingsley,
